A half-day itinerary through the old town of Milan and its best monuments, which will allow you to discover with the best professional guides all the sights that make the great Lombard city unique.
Let’s start from the great gothic Duomo cathedral, overlooking the square with its architecture in white and pink marble. Since more than 630 years the longest building site in the city, it’s a masterpiece to be discovered in each hidden corner, interiors and the rich sculpted decoration.
The visit continues through Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the drawing room of the Milanese, meeting point and classy shopping area. Recently restored, its eclectic architecture astonishes every visitor strolling among the elegant windows.
At the opposite side of the Galleria, you will arrive at La Scala square with its monument celebrating Leonardo Da Vinci, the great genius of the Milanese Renaissance. La Scala Opera House overlooks the square and, as a great temple of opera, welcomes since the 18th century every opera and music lover. One of the greatest opera houses on earth, its perfect acoustic celebrated the art of come of the best musicians and singers, like Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini or Maria Callas.
