It was so good being a traveller and enjoying the food, wine, culture, history and people. I must say, your organisation of the itinerary was flawless!!!!! Your patience paid off and we benefited from your years of experience in the industry and commitment to your customers.
“Hello Laura, We wanted to make sure we said La ringrazio. We absolutely enjoyed the Ghost Tour, City/Gondola Workshop and the Murano Glass Blowing.Specifically, it was the local experience that made the adventures amazing!
Thank you Laura for all your help, I will recommend your services to my friends
Just back from Tivoli….the Gardens were amazing, and lunch was sensational. Beautiful food and restaurant too. The day finished our time in Rome perfectly. Our guide was excellent in every way… knowledge, social skills, passion for her work. We were very fortunate to have her and the drivers have been good too
Rob and I have had the best time with our guide in Matera. Seeing the Sassi at sunset was brilliant and today we enjoyed great Matera bread, pizza, wine cheese and olive oil, as well as a tour of the Sassi. What you put together covered all the amazing culture, history and story of the Sassi, as well as linking it with the foods of the area. It was also great meeting the families of food businesses…it was so more personal.
Hi Laura. . ..I’m doing well, thanks for asking. The tour went very well and was enjoyed by everyone. Barbara was great!!! So was the bus driver who was very accommodating.
I will happily be a reference for you if you every need one.
Just to let you know: I thought the tour was excellent. The guide did a great job spooking the kids out with some gripping stories and providing a lot of really interesting historical background for me.
My apologies for not coming back to you about the tour – it really great! Even the Venetians present learned something new! 🙂
I booked a tour with these folks over the Christmas and New Year’s holiday. As an avid photographer, my goal was to capture some of the more out of the way places in Venice, and to do it at night. Mark & Carla were wonderful guides, walking me around the city exploring dark corners, telling stories, and negotiating with locals to let us into areas that we generally wouldn’t be able to see or even know about. They also provided, at the end of our walk, a map of the areas we explored, as well as information about other places and sights that I might be interested in exploring on my own. All in all, a great experience. These people take the time to do it right. Never felt rushed or intimidated or bound to a schedule or path.
When I visited Venice during the season of Venice Carnival, I took two tours from this company, Passeggiate Italiane. The one was one day tour in Padova from Venice. A tour guide, who spoke Japanese fluently, took us to famous places, such as the Scrovegni Chapel and Saint Anthony’s Basilica. The guide has quite excellent knowledge of Italian art. On top of that, her explanation is quite understandable even for us with no background of Christianity. Because of her nice explanation, we really enjoyed the wall painting of the Scrovegni Chapel, which is one of the supreme masterpieces of Giotto, an architect in Italian Renaissance. We also visited Pedrocchi Café, which is amazingly beautiful caffe shop founded in 19th century.
The other one was a guided tour for Venice. We visited some famous architectures, like Saint Mark’s Basilica, with historical explanation of Venice. We couldn’t have understood the real meaning of amazing Basilica’s interior if we had looked around Venice by ourselves. In addition, the local restaurant, where she recommend us, was quite good. I think it’s very difficult for foreigners to find out this kind of venetian restaurant, where local people visited so often. We tasted molto buono venetian dishes.
If you’d like to enjoy genuine Italian art and culture, definitely the tours offered by Passeggiate Italiane are the recommendable ones.
Such a wonderful team.
Such a brilliant service.
Such a lovely experience.
And – such stunning places we had the opportunity to discover, with You as guides.
Grazie mille, per tutto.
Well be back soon, for sure!
I thoroughly recommend this tour, even though it’s a bit pricey. We were taken around the quieter back streets, alleys and squares of Venice by Alvise who told us grim stories (some historical, some folklore) associated with each place, including the headless body in the well, the human casserole and the Venetian Vampire. Alvise was an excellent storyteller, spooking out the kids and providing interesting historical background for the adults. Our party included children from 7 to 15 and all were entertained. Although an evening activity it took only about an hour, so finished in time for dinner at a nearby restaurant.
